Posts

Startline

getting the cars lined up so the timing strut is in the right place

1 - paddock bend

long curve, can be busy as drivers outbrake themselves

2- norries

at the end of a downhill straight on inside of track, you also get to wave the chequer here if running anti clockwise

3 golf course

next to the golf course so watch for flying golf balls, if you catch one try and throw it onto the green as the golfers like our help you do get cars coming off here too but not that many

4- hairpin

either way it is at the end of long straights, usually those that get it wrong go down the rally roads but some end up in the tyres

Lunch / Circuit Customs

cafe is usually open at sign on for tea and breakfast, at some meetings lunch is supplied by eacc and at others you buy from the cafe eacc usually pays £10 towards marshals expenses

Marshal's Perspective

kames is unusual in that it is run by the owning club, they are friendly folk and passionate about motorsport, nice quiet day out track is surrounded by tyres but as it is a sprint track the red flag comes out as soon as a car goes off so nice and safe track very narrow so anyone going a yard off will be on the mud and gravel so get the brooms out

Scanner Frequencies

scanners arent used here, all posts have a radio to contact the coc
